Over the years, we have established an outstanding reputation in Panama and internationally for quality and service. We maintain our reputation through direct contact with our incoming guests.
How we came to be here ...
It all started in the late 80's when we first discovered the wonders of Costa Rica on one of our escape-the-rat-race jaunts and became hooked on Central America. At 45 and 46 years of age and after 27 years of working in Information Technology, we simply pulled the plug and went exploring. After a year and a half of travel, we settled in Boquete, Panama in 1996. You know when you have found your place; the Boquete Valley just felt right. In addition to the natural beauty, we liked the look and feel of this genuine agricultural town. We bought a gorgeous-view coffee and orange farm with a large stand of forest and built the guest bungalows, our home and began landscaping our beautiful gardens and trail system. In December, 1996, we inaugurated La Montaña y el Valle - The Coffee Estate Inn, the first luxury inn in the area. We have been in operation since January 1997 and have created our own little bit of paradise that we enjoy sharing with Panamanians and international travellers.
